CSG Day Service
Situated in the heart of Wexford Town, our adult day service supports people with a range of physical and intellectual disabilities. CSG provides a person-centred service that allows adults with additional needs to enhance their skills, investigate new interests, and firmly establish themselves within their community in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Our in-house training programmes are multifaceted and allow for service attendees to engage in many activities tailored to their interests. We ensure that our attendees have access to creative outlets such as art, drama, music, and craftwork as well as supporting them to be more independent in daily skills such as cooking, computer skills, money management and activities of daily living. We recognise the importance of having a holistic approach to mental and physical health by offering support to access local gyms, running healthy eating programmes and offering yoga and other mindfulness activities regularly.
In 2023, our service attendees and staff were proud to launch the CSG Community Garden. This initiative allowed for greater engagement within our community and cultivated a keen interest for horticulture among many of our service attendees. As part of this exploration into horticulture, some of our attendees had the opportunity to grow their own fruit and vegetables in our greenhouse and polytunnel.
Access to our day service can be made through the HSE by contacting your local Day Service Operations Officer to discuss our range of offerings from RT placements, outreach services and full or part time in-service supports.
CSG Respite Services
Our Adult Respite services offers a personalised respite solution to support adults currently waiting for overnight respite through the HSE. Our respite aims to support our attendees to access services within their community and to engage in activities of their choosing away from their full-time care givers. The service aims to cultivate independence through fortnightly sessions in four-hour intervals. The service is provided on a 2 to 1 basis, meaning that two members of our highly trained team will always be on hand.
For more information on accessing CSG respite, contact your HSE Representative.
